Packing Buddy, from LUNARWERX LLC. Last updated October 19, 2026.
Packing Buddy helps you list what is in each box and print its label. This page says what the app and its server do with your information. LUNARWERX LLC, 117 S Lexington St Ste 100, Harrisonville, MO 64701 runs it. Questions: contact@lunarwerx.com.
What we handle
- Photos and box contents. The photos you take of what goes in a box, the list made from them, and the box's title, room, code and notes. They live on your phone or browser. Until you sign in, that is the only place they are.
- Your account. You sign in with Connections (Connections Global). We receive the name and email address on that account and a sign-in token, so we know whose boxes are whose.
- Plan and payment status. Which plan you hold and when it renews or ends. We never see or store your card number.
- A device id. Before you sign in, the app sends a random id made on your device so the free test boxes can be counted. It is not your name or your email.
- Visits to this website. The landing page counts page views, and what visitors click and scroll, under an anonymous visitor id, with the ARGUS analytics service from Connections. It honours Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control.
- Language. The app tells the server which language you use, so messages arrive in it.
The AI that reads your photos
To list what is in a box, the app sends its photos to our server, which passes them to an AI service to be read. Those services are Google Gemini, Groq, Cloudflare Workers AI and Mistral. Which one reads a photo depends on the request. They receive the photos and, for the tidy-up step, the draft list, and return the list.
Some AI services, such as Google's, may keep what they see to improve their products. Keep private papers and documents out of the shot. If a photo should not leave your phone, do not add it to a box to be read; you can still type a box's list by hand.
Backup and sync
When you are signed in, your rooms, boxes, items and photos are backed up to your account, so a new phone or the web gets them back. Deleting a box removes it from the backup.
A backup is kept for as long as you hold any plan, and for 365 days after your last plan ends. After that your boxes stay on your phone, but a new phone or the web can no longer get them, and the cloud copy (rooms, boxes and photos) is removed. Buying or starting a plan inside that time keeps it. Write to us to have your account's cloud copy deleted sooner.
Sharing
- With people you invite. If you invite a friend or a moving company to help with your move, they see the boxes of that move and what is in them, for as long as the invitation lasts. A moving company's dashboard shows counts only, never what is in a box or a photo.
- Through an AI app you connect. If you add Packing Buddy to ChatGPT, Claude or another AI app as a connector and sign in, that app can read the boxes you have backed up. It cannot change them.
- With our service providers. Cloudflare hosts the app, the server and its storage. Connections runs sign-in and payments; on the web, payments go through Stripe.
Payments
A paid plan is bought on the web, at packingbuddy-app.lunarwerx.com, through Stripe. Your card statement shows CONNECTIONS GLOBAL. The phone apps do not sell anything: a plan you hold shows in them, but it is not bought there.
Choices
- Use the app without an account: your first boxes stay on your device.
- Delete a box or a photo in the app at any time.
- Sign out in Account.
- Ask us to delete your account's data, or to send you a copy, at contact@lunarwerx.com.
Children
Packing Buddy is for adults moving or storing their things. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
